Pendora is 100% free with no paid plans. If your store fits within 2 GB of storage and you don’t need streaming, custom S3, or an API, Pendora costs nothing. Fileflare has a free tier too, but the most powerful features require a paid plan.
License key delivery
Pendora supports license key generation and delivery for software products. Fileflare doesn’t offer license keys yet — they’re coming in December 2026.
More free storage
Pendora gives you 2 GB free vs. Fileflare’s 1 GB. If you’re just starting out with a small catalog, Pendora gives you more room at zero cost.

The trade-off is that you’re limited to 2 GB of storage with no upgrade path, no custom S3, no video streaming, no REST API, and PDF stamping only works on files under 30 MB. If those limits don’t affect you, Pendora is a great deal.
You’ll need to switch to a different app. Pendora doesn’t have paid plans with more storage — 2 GB is the hard ceiling. Fileflare’s free plan starts at 1 GB, but paid plans scale up to 5 TB, and you can connect your own S3 bucket for unlimited storage.
No. Pendora delivers files as downloads only — there’s no in-browser video, audio, or PDF streaming. Fileflare offers in-browser video streaming, an audio player, PDF viewing, and the option to embed YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, and Wistia videos on the download page.

No. Pendora stores all files on their infrastructure with the 2 GB cap. There’s no option to connect external storage. Fileflare lets you connect your own AWS S3 or Cloudflare R2 bucket, giving you full control over your files and effectively unlimited storage.
Yes. Install Fileflare, upload your files (or connect your S3 bucket), and attach them to your products. Fileflare’s historical order import will bring in your existing Shopify orders so previous customers keep access to their downloads. You can run both apps side by side during the transition.
