Yes — Fileflare assigns a free Premium plan to development stores so you can build out and test the digital-products flow without paying for a paid tier you’ll only use for development.
Free for active Shopify development stores (the kind partners use to build for clients before launch). Standard live stores aren’t eligible — they need a real plan.
How to get it
- Install Fileflare on the development store.
- Open the app and go to the Support page.
- Send us a message asking for the development-store Premium plan. Mention the store name.
- We’ll assign it to your store, usually within a business day.
Going live
When you transfer the development store to a live Shopify store (or hand it over to a client), the development-plan assignment doesn’t carry over. You’ll need to choose a real Fileflare plan to keep delivery working — without one, downloads stop being delivered to new customers.
Plan to do this transition deliberately. Check the pricing page, decide on a tier, and switch shortly before or right after the store goes live.
