The download box is the styled container that lists customer downloads on the Shopify thank-you page, the Order Status page, and the customer account order page. You can change the heading and the subtext shown above the download links to match your store’s voice.
The download box title and extra text are available on all paid plans. Free-plan stores see the default copy. To translate the box for non-English customers, see Change the language.
When you’d use this
- You want the heading on the thank-you page to say something more on-brand than the default (“Your downloads”).
- You want to add a short instruction or thank-you message above the download links.
- You’re selling in a non-English market and want to translate the box copy.
How to customize the box
- Open Fileflare from your Shopify Apps menu.
- Go to Settings, then Checkout pages.
- Find the Download box section.
- Edit Download box title — the heading customers see above their links.
- Edit Download box extra text — the supporting paragraph (good for instructions, like “Click each file to download” or a thank-you note).
- Click Save.
Both fields appear on the thank-you page, the Order Status page, and the customer account download box — there’s no separate copy per surface. If you change the title, it changes everywhere.

Common issues
- Changes don’t show on the thank-you page — make sure the Fileflare app block is added to your checkout extensibility configuration. Without it, the download box won’t render at all. See Thank-you page downloads.
- Customer accounts still show old text — Shopify caches the customer account templates. Reload the customer account page after saving and check in an incognito window.
